Why did you choose McIntire? I was drawn to the strong academic reputation of McIntire and the historic Grounds at UVA. After touring McIntire, I was really impressed by the friendliness of the faculty and staff, and I felt at home right away. The nearby mountains and beautiful surroundings of Charlottesville also played a role in my decision.
What do you enjoy so far? The teaching style of the professors at McIntire has stood out to me the most. I really enjoy the interactive nature of class and how each concept is related back to the “bigger picture.” I’ve also enjoyed exploring the local restaurants and hiking trails.
What has surprised you? I’ve been surprised by the amount of resources available at McIntire. Although classes are relatively small, M.S.in Accounting students are provided with endless academic and career support. McIntire does a great job of combining a small class feel with the resources of a global university.
