Why did you choose McIntire? I know the curriculum in the master’s program will allow me to gain further exposure to complex, multidimensional business situations. In addition, it is a prestigious program, and I know it is an environment where I can challenge myself.

What do you enjoy so far? I think one of my favorite things so far is the graduate lounge. The space really feels like a community. You’ll most likely always see someone you know or just friendly faces in general. It’s a space just for us where we can study, socialize, and meet people in different programs.

What has surprised you? The people in the program surprised me the most! I wasn't sure what to expect from a group of all accountants. Everyone seems very welcoming and open-minded. I think we have a great group of students with various personalities that makes one cohesive group. I’m excited to continue nurturing the friendships I’ve made thus far.

Fun facts about yourself: I studied abroad in Costa Rica, and I have eight nieces and nephews

Hobbies: Playing rugby and staying active
