Why did you choose McIntire? I chose the McIntire School because of its focus on turning its students into business professionals, rather than teaching them the ins-and-outs of only one subject. McIntire is second to none and is a place that I am honored to be a part of.
What do you enjoy so far? So far I have enjoyed getting to know everyone in the program, both students and faculty/staff. I was excited to find out how much I have in common with my classmates, while at the same time coming from entirely different backgrounds and seeing things very differently. In addition, Charlottesville is an amazing place for exploring socially and a place I will enjoy exploring with my new classmates.
What has surprised you? I am surprised at how many backgrounds the students from the program come from. There are so many different undergraduate programs represented, and each teaches things a little differently. So when we put this all together, we are all going to learn so much more from each other not only in the classroom, but also professionally. We all genuinely enjoy hanging out with one another, both in group work and outside the classroom. It is an awesome dynamic!
Fun facts about yourself: I am red-green colorblind, a Division 1 golfer for four years at the University of Richmond, a die-hard Carolina Panthers fan, and a UNC- Chapel Hill fan. I am from Charlotte, N.C., and interested in working in transaction services/deal advisory in Washington, D.C., after the program. I am going through recruiting this fall.
Hobbies: Golf and spending time with friends on the weekends outside of class to develop relationships
