Why did you choose McIntire? I chose McIntire for several reasons. I loved the diversity of classes included in the program. You not only take technical accounting classes, but you also take classes on leadership, communication, and electives on various topics. I wanted to come out of my graduate program not just a strong accountant, but also a well-rounded professional, and that is exactly what McIntire strives to do. I also liked the small class sizes; I wanted to go somewhere I could become close to my professors and fellow classmates.
What do you enjoy about the program so far? I absolutely love the people! The support I've received so far from staff and fellow students is incredible. We all work together and want each other to succeed. I can definitely tell I'm making lifelong friends.
Fun facts about me: I love to travel (most recently, I visited San Francisco and Montezuma, Costa Rica). I spent last summer working as a Financial Reporting Intern at a software company called Blackbaud. My favorite animal is a sloth, and my friends always buy me sloth-related gifts.
Hobbies: Reading fiction, spending time with family and friends, exercising (especially kickboxing), learning new healthful recipes to cook, vintage/consignment shopping, traveling to new places
