Why did you choose UVA’s M.S. in Commerce Program? I chose the M.S. Commerce Program so that I could pivot into a career in business after an undergrad degree in economics. I wanted to learn how to apply some of the financial concepts that I learned and also learn new concepts that would put me at an advantage on the job. I was also excited about the Global Immersion Experience piece of the program because of how interested I am in learning about new cultures and also because of how important it is to become familiar with the world as one unified community.

What do you enjoy about the program so far? I have most enjoyed the platform for open dialogue that this classroom environment provides. It allows all of the students to surmise openly about the interconnectedness of concepts we read about and the current events happening around us.

Hobbies: Rock climbing/hiking, finding new music/attending concerts, reading
