M.S. in Commerce 2018, University of Virginia
B.A. in Economics and English 201, University of Pittsburgh

Why did you choose UVA’s M.S. in Commerce Program? I chose the M.S. in Commerce Program because I wanted to transform some of the more abstract skills that I gained from my liberal arts education into a more practical, business skill set. On top of that, the program’s emphasis on a global business education along with its stellar reputation made the decision easy.
What do you enjoy about the program so far? The projects we work on are not only engaging but also provide hands-on experience in a number of different areas. This learning style is both enjoyable and helps to generate a kind of muscle memory in solving business problems.
What has surprised you about the program so far? I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how motivated all my peers are in the program. Everyone is engaged in classroom discussion and willing to lend a hand to anyone struggling to grasp a concept. The academic community of UVA is apparent, particularly within this tight-knit M.S. in Commerce Program.
