Why did you choose UVA’s M.S. in Commerce Program? As much as I enjoyed studying economics in my undergraduate career, I did not feel that I was equipped with the skill set I'd need to succeed in business. I ultimately chose the program because of its stellar reputation, wide network, and challenging academics. In addition, the Global Immersion Experience really piqued my interest, as it highlighted the program's focus on studying business from multiple lenses.

What do you enjoy about the program so far? I really like how integrated and collaborative the program is. There is rarely a class session where the professor simply lectures. The faculty truly admire and encourage student participation, so you get to hear from a variety of perspectives in solving a business problem.

Fun facts about me: I was lucky enough to see the Northern Lights in Iceland (after three times of waiting in the Icelandic countryside for hours at night). I lived in Europe until I was six years old. I have a cat named “Walle,” after the Disney movie.

Hobbies: Traveling, running, going to concerts
