Why did you choose this program? I chose this program to enhance my global business mindset and develop an international network. One of my career goals is to work abroad, and I knew this program would prepare me for the cross-cultural management and analytical skills necessary to make this goal a reality. The opportunity to be a Wahoo for a semester and then travel the world doesn't hurt either!
What do you enjoy about the program so far? I have really enjoyed learning from people from all over the globe. Everything from class discussions to exploring Charlottesville together has been an opportunity to better understand different cultures and perspectives while also having a lot of fun. So far, some of the highlights have been trying traditional Chinese and Italian food cooked by classmates and helping plan an American tailgate for the international students!
What has surprised you? I’ve been pleasantly surprised at the alumni presence at UVA so far. In only the first couple of weeks of classes, we’ve had the opportunity to meet McIntire alumni who have had global careers in a variety of industries around the world.
Fun facts: I play the harp, and while in London, I had the opportunity to study harp with Skaila Kanga, the harpist who performed on the soundtracks for the "Harry Potter" and "Hunger Games" movies. Recently, I completed my advanced scuba diving certification, and I have been hanggliding in Queenstown, New Zealand.
Hobbies: Scuba diving, hot yoga, and reading
