Why did you choose this program? I chose this program because of its extensive international profile. I really wanted to travel for my graduate studies, and among the programs I applied to, this was the one that would give me the most extensive opportunity to do so while visiting three top institutions. I look forward to immersing myself in all three places.

What do you enjoy about the program so far? I appreciate many aspects of this program. We have very competent and enthusiastic staff and faculty who make this a great experience. While my classmates come from different cultural backgrounds, we all share the “global mindset,” which allows us to connect easily and have a dynamic social and academic life here.

What has surprised you? I was very surprised how the living situation worked out with all living in the same complex. It has turned out amazing – it was so easy to get to know everybody in the program, and we have a lot of fun together.

Fun facts: I spent six months in Asia, where I ate grasshoppers, a bat, and a scorpion. None of them tasted any good. The scorpion did made a good picture though.

Hobbies: Traveling, learning languages, cooking foreign foods (sort of successful), meeting new people, and challenging myself to try things outside of my comfort zone
