Hometown: Stafford, VA
About Me: I’m originally from Dallas, Texas, but moved all around the country as my father was in the Marine Corps. Though I am forever grateful for the experiences of my childhood, I am really happy to finally call one place home for longer than a couple of years!
I came to UVA completely unaware of what McIntire was and truly had no intention of studying business (so if you know about McIntire before you come to UVA, you are well ahead of where I was!). My perspective completely changed as I started to explore the Commerce prerequisite courses, and quickly found that not only did I have a knack for business, but that I had a passion for it as well. My third year at McIntire was the most challenging yet rewarding year I have had to date. I am constantly impressed by the intelligence and curiosity of those around me and feel as if I finish each day with a new appreciation for the time I have had here.
Outside of the classroom, I am involved in a variety of different activities. I volunteer each week at a local nursing home and recently have become heavily involved in a tax filing service for Charlottesville residents. I also ran my first marathon in the fall and am now trying to regain the motivation to maybe do another one in the near future!
