Hometown: Duxbury, MA

About Me: I grew up in a small coastal town located 20 miles south of Boston. Having lived by the beach, I love water and could spend all day swimming in the ocean or my pool.

At UVA, I am chief research officer of Smart Woman Securities, a volunteer at the UVA Children’s Hospital, and a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. This past summer, I studied abroad at the London School of Economics and enjoyed visiting different sites throughout Europe. In my free time, I love hanging out with my friends (most likely at Asado’s, eating chips and queso).

At UVA, I am studying Finance and Management with a minor in Classics. Instead of independent study, McIntire encourages teamwork and collaboration with classmates and faculty to explore ideas and stimulate creativity. These group projects will challenge your traditional learning and working styles but will ultimately allow you to produce a project you are very proud of. Due to McIntire’s unique learning environment, I have found that I have become a much better teammate over time. After attending an awesome tour as a prospective student, I became very interested in the McIntire School and am excited about being a McIntire Ambassador and paying it forward.

Fun Fact: I won second place in a pie-eating contest and once received a wild blue lobster as a gift (long story).
