About me: Hey! My name is Yash Maheshwari, and I’m a third-year student in McIntire, planning on concentrating in Finance and IT with a track in Entrepreneurship. I’m also planning to minor in South Asian Studies in the College of Arts and Sciences.
I’m really interested in entrepreneurship and social impact, and have joined several organizations here at UVA to explore that interest. I’m involved in HackCville (a not-for-profit talent accelerator) as a part of its sales team, and I'm a project leader for Student Entrepreneurs for Economic Development (a not-for-profit consulting organization), a member of Alpha Kappa Psi (UVA’s professional business fraternity), and a volunteer income tax assistant for Madison House CASH (Creating Assets, Savings, and Hope). I also work as an event assistant for the UVA Career Center.
A fun fact about me: I started and operate a honey and maple syrup production and sale business (yes, that means a lot of time spent with bees and trees). Outside of school, I love to ski, scuba dive, listen to hip-hop, and hike.
I’ve loved my experience here at McIntire, and would definitely recommend it to all those who are interested! Each person I have met here is exceptionally unique and has different passions, but we all share a common drive for our respective interests. McIntire does a great job of teaching you to work in a group setting, and bonding beyond that. Our first week as a team, my ICE group went out for a fun and uber competitive evening of mini-golf!
