Hong Kong University of Science & Technology in Hong Kong, China

Program Overview

Video about Hong KongThe McIntire School of Commerce and Hong Kong University of Science & Technology (HKUST) are offering third-year Commerce students an opportunity to study international business in Hong Kong during the spring semester of students' third year of study. HKUST, located in one of the world’s most vibrant cities, is one of the top universities in Asia. Spread over 150 acres in a beautiful setting in Clear Water Bay, Kowloon, the HKUST campus provides students with a relaxing environment in which to study and grow.

Core semester abroad programs offer business-focused curricula that allow students to keep apace with classmates who do not study abroad, while also enriching their total McIntire and UVA educational experience. The HKUST course catalog provides course descriptions, and the course timetable lists past course offerings and syllabi at the HKUST Business School. HKUST courses transfer back to UVA at a 1:1 ratio. All Commerce students will find a good selection of courses that interest them.

View our course planning page for information about McIntire curriculum and credit requirements.

Students will live in on-campus double-occupancy student halls.
