The Center exists to build bridges and to support the exchange of knowledge about real estate and the built environment. Established in 2021, the Center creates and supports collaborative and cross-Grounds programming for its stakeholders that promote new understanding of real estate markets and their connections to society through the built environment. Endeavoring to enhance the real estate experience at UVA for students, faculty, alumni, and industry partners, it pursues its mission through academic program support, research, and outreach.
Academic Program Support
The Center strives to create cross-disciplinary programming that supports the existing graduate and undergraduate real estate academic programs across Grounds. It also seeks to support student club programming through connections with alumni and industry partners. Helping all to imagine and implement a better built environment and related markets, the Center is a hub for real estate-related academic engagement at UVA.
Supporting research with a range of tools, our faculty are engaging important questions and developing creative solutions with leading scholars in finance, design, engineering, law, history, and other related disciplines.
The Center engages a committed, diverse, and talented array of alumni, industry practitioners, and policy-makers to connect their expertise with academic opportunities. Promoting lifelong learning and aiming to help transform the markets of tomorrow, the Center hosts events in Charlottesville and around the world.
