This session will examine the journey of founders from the initial onset of discovery problems within the built environment to building the first solutions, fundraising, and then scaling organizations and their product offerings. We will dive into what it takes to build a successful startup and the teams involved. The selected UVA alumni founders of Saltbox, PlaceMakr, and EZOS will cover a range of assets, including industrial, student housing, and hospitality. The aim is to give the audience an insight into the unique approach of tech and innovation that has seen an influx of interest and investment over the last few years, as well as the opportunities that will present themselves for future entrepreneurs.
