Hi! My name is Neha Amarnath, and I’m a third-year student from Northern Virginia. I’m pursuing concentrations in Finance and Management at McIntire, with a double major in Applied Statistics.

While on Grounds, I’ve been fortunate to be part of several organizations that have made my UVA experience truly rewarding. I intern with the UVA IDEA Fund, an alumni-run grant and advocacy program that provides funding and support to different student organizations and initiatives. I have also been a part of Smart Woman Securities, volunteered through Madison House’s CASH program, and led projects with both Global Research and Consulting and BioKind Analytics.

Outside the classroom, I love to travel. I spent part of last summer exploring Europe and had the chance to study abroad at Oxford, which was an incredible way to experience a new academic environment while learning international business. When I’m back in Charlottesville, you can usually find me at one of the many coffee shops in town, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, or taking long walks across Grounds with friends.

Within McIntire, the highlight of my time so far has been the Integrated Core curriculum. Working closely with my team has been both extremely fun and invaluable for developing my interpersonal skills while also contributing to a meaningful project. I’m now excited to build on those experiences by giving back to the McIntire community and serving as one of its ambassadors!

Fun fact: I’ve taken a 12-hour midnight train/bus/ferry from London to Paris. It was an awesome adventure!
