Recruiting McIntire Students

Commerce Career Services (CCS) works diligently to provide McIntire students with targeted career programming and advising services, as well as to expose them to internships and employment opportunities with outstanding employers. Many of our students are offered summer internships between their third and fourth years at McIntire. Coupled with a McIntire education, this experience provides our graduates with unparalleled preparation for the workplace.

Commerce Career Services is committed to providing outstanding tailored customer service to employers. We greatly appreciate your interest in recruiting our students, whether for internship or full-time positions, and welcome the opportunity to speak with you about building (or perhaps enhancing) your company’s brand at McIntire. Contact Mary Riner, Director for Employer Relations, at 434-243-8838, to discuss designing an effective and successful recruitment strategy.

UVA's on-Grounds interviewing program allows employers and all UVA students (including McIntire students) to interview during the fall and spring semesters for full-time and internship positions. Through Handshake, employers are able to exclusively recruit McIntire students by posting positions and coordinating on-Grounds interviews. The scheduling of information sessions and McIntire's annual Commerce Career Day registration is also coordinated through Handshake. If you are interested in targeting McIntire students through the on-Grounds interviewing program, or if you would like to discuss scheduling telephone and/or videoconference interviews with our students, contact Mary Riner (by phone at 434-243-8838). You are also welcome to email Peggy Ehrenberg, Assistant Director for Employer Relations, to discuss ways Commerce Career Services can promote your recruiting activity through email communications and social media.

We are sincerely grateful for your interest in our students and look forward to helping you achieve your recruiting goals!
