Transparency, Ethics, and Integrity

How do small-scale cover-ups lead to billion-dollar fraud cases? CIPS regularly investigates how integrity in business is imperative for transparent and ethical accounting. The Center examines and reinforces the importance through the sharing of first-person experiences.

Sustainability Reporting

Decisions informed by sustainability accounting and reporting not only help businesses operate in a more sustainable manner, but also help capital flow to those business. CIPS supports learning opportunities to study how the practice benefits economies around the world.

Qualitative Accounting

Through the Center’s Distinguished Speaker Series, academics from UVA and other universities examine best practices for engaging with qualitative research in accounting. Studies in career development have also been addressed in relation to qualitative research practice.
