What stood out to you about the M.S. in Accounting Program at UVA?

The program being open to non-traditional business majors and its emphasis on the “why,” instead of just getting the right answer.

What are you looking forward to the most in the program?

I am looking forward to expanding my knowledge while I build relationships with classmates, faculty, and professionals. Since the M.S. in Accounting class is diverse, I will learn a lot from my classmates because of their varying backgrounds. Also, my relationships with professors and professionals will help with my development to make me into a better professional.

What clubs and organizations were you a part of during your time in undergrad?

Caribbean Student Association, Dimensions Mentoring Program, NABA

If you were stranded on a desert island, what three things would you bring?

Food/water because I get headaches if I don’t eat and my fear of dehydration. A floaty/life jacket because I don’t know how to swim. Bug spray because my skin gets irritated easily.

Name three places on your bucket list to travel to.

1. UK, because Guyana was a colony of the British, and a lot of our traditions and norms come from the British
2. Africa, because I am of African descent and have an appreciation for their culture
3. Barbados, to see the flying fish
