Tuition & Fees

The University of Virginia's budget for tuition and living expenses for the 2020-2021 academic year is set by the Board of Visitors in February 2020. The following breakdown is for the current year, provided to help plan for the full cost of attending the M.S. in Accounting Program and are based on University-approved allowances for living expenses incurred during the academic year.

*Estimated for 2019-2020 academic year and subject to change. Rent and utility figures are calculated for a single student sharing a two-bedroom apartment. This budget does not include allowances for car payments, undergraduate debt, or consumer and other types of personal debt. The budget for typical living costs is expected to increase by approximately 3% for 2020-2021.

**Estimated cost if insurance is purchased through UVA. Students may be covered under a parent’s policy or a personal policy. If this coverage meets minimum requirements, then the UVA policy may be waived in July.

International students: The above budget does not include travel to and from the United States.
