About me:

Hi! My name is Julia Corbo, and I’m a third-year at McIntire, concentrating in Finance and Management with a track in Global Commerce. I’m from Mountain Lakes, NJ, and I come from a big family, with three brothers.

I originally came to UVA because I wanted to attend a big school with a work-hard, play-hard atmosphere, and I could not be happier with my choice. Every student I have come across in McIntire is diligent in their goals, but also are all great people willing to help anyone with anything. The COMMunity is truly what makes McIntire such a special place to learn and grow. During my time here, I have been on the Leadership Team at UVA’s Scholars of Finance chapter, a tax prep volunteer at Creating, Assets, Savings, and Hope through Madison House, and an investigator in the University Judiciary Committee. All of these organizations offer me the opportunity to make a positive impact from within McIntire all the way to the greater Charlottesville community.

In my free time, I love to cook and bake. You can find me at either Grit or Corner Juice during the week. I do The Washington Post crossword puzzle every morning, and my exercise of choice has to be either swimming or Pilates. I am also an avid reader, so please tell me of any recommendations you may have. I love to meet new people, so if you ever see me walking around Grounds or inside Rouss & Robertson Halls, please say hi!
