About me:

My name is Tristan Chang, I am a third-year student in the McIntire School of Commerce, studying Finance and Accounting with a Real Estate Track. I have an older brother who graduated last year from SMU and a younger sister who is a freshman at Villanova. I also have a yellow lab named Tenley.

In addition to my studies, I have been a Madison House volunteer, member of the UVA Men's Club Ice Hockey Team, Hoos Connected Facilitator, and member of the Portico Impact Fund. Outside of school, I love fishing, diving, watching sports, and playing sports. In particular, I am a massive New York Rangers and New York Giants fan. Each summer, I spend time with family fishing for striped bass and bluefin tuna in Rhode Island. This summer, we caught a 130-pound bluefin tuna, my biggest fish ever!

Overall, I am a dedicated and driven student who enjoys having fun, spending time with friends and family, working with others, and meeting new people. The thing I have enjoyed most about my experience at McIntire is meeting new people. The School is very focused on teamwork and collaboration. You get the chance to work inside and outside of class with new people, and I have really enjoyed it. Additionally, it is clear that the faculty at McIntire want you to succeed. My professors and other faculty I have consulted are always willing to help answer questions or just chat in general during office hours, and they have been incredibly helpful.

Fun fact: I can free dive up to 40 feet underwater!
