The Center for Investors and Financial Markets proudly hosts and sponsors events that connect stakeholders across the McIntire community network with today’s most pressing issues in finance. Panel discussions, guest speakers, industry roundtables, and student-focused career conferences highlight an ever-growing schedule of highly relevant and enlightening events designed to bring professionals together with McIntire students and alumni.
The Center works to engage finance professionals and policymakers—including McIntire alumni and employers—in scholarship and education efforts. The Center facilitates close working relationships with McIntire alumni and employers in finance to bring professionals into the classroom so students and researchers can get a closer look at practice.
Careers in Finance provides all UVA second-year students an overview of the financial services industry and helps students identify those areas that might be of greatest career interest. Designed not only to open students’ eyes to the wide range of opportunities available to them, the series also introduces them to the different skills, responsibilities, and rewards entailed by various careers in finance.
Co-hosted by the Darden's Richard A. Mayo Center for Asset Management and the Center for Investors and Financial Markets, this annual fall conference features leading experts from across academia, industry, and government who speak and present on critical topics central to finance and investing.
