Why did you choose this program?
Where else do you get to live, work, and learn from international peers every day for an entire year? Business is only becoming more global, and as I think about my long career ahead of me, I want to have as many global skills mastered early on as possible.
What has surprised you about the program?
Everyone is challenged at some point throughout the program and in different ways, and I learned so much about my peers and their cultures in learning how they met challenges and overcame them. Going through these challenges brought us closer than I ever could have thought.
Most memorable class
Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (S+), because it was the most new to me and I grew the most in my thinking.
What was your favorite memory in each location?
Charlottesville: Watching the sunrise at Humpback Rock during my first month at the University of Virginia with new friends.
Guangzhou: Learning a Chinese dice game over drinks--and then playing it ALL the time.
Barcelona: Catamaran tour with classmates. ESADE rented a boat and we got to watch the Barcelona skyline while having a dance party amongst ourselves.
What’s the biggest thing you will take from this program into your career and life?
People despite being so different all want the same thing, and when we talk to each other, no matter our backgrounds, we can do great things together.
I once won a free trip to New Zealand with my best friend. I can say the alphabet backwards in 2 seconds. I have been featured in The Wall Street Journal talking about the program!
