About me:
Hi! My name is Kelly Yu, and I'm a third-year studying Commerce, with a minor in Data Analytics. Within the Comm School, I intend to concentrate in Finance and IT. I call a lot of places home. I'm originally from Akron, OH (LeBron James' hometown!) and then moved six times to four different states (Pennsylvania, Kansas, Michigan, and Tennessee) before my family finally settled in Vienna, VA. At UVA, I’m mainly involved with Virginia Venture Fund, the venture capital and private equity organization on Grounds; Virginia Ambassadors, the student volunteering arm for the Office of Admissions; and Asian Student Union. Outside of school, I’m a sucker for paddle boarding, eating street food, kayaking, and watching stand-up comedy. My favorite aspect of McIntire so far has been the mentorship and support from my professors, upperclassmen mentors, and peers in all aspects of my life not just academically. I love my block and hearing the different experiences we all bring to McIntire and UVA as whole. I’m excited to meet many of you as an ambassador!
