Center for the Management of IT
Established in 1991, the McIntire School of Commerce's Center for the Management of Information Technology (CMIT) provides opportunities for business and higher education to work together in diverse areas related to information technology. Through a program of interdisciplinary cooperation, the Center promotes faculty research, IT education, and engagements with industry and UVA alumni. In its more than three-decade history, CMIT has provided support for dozens of high-impact research projects and collaborations by McIntire faculty and hosted hundreds of programs featuring renowned speakers from around the world.
CMIT Scholars are thought leaders who share their IT-related expertise with the McIntire School’s students and alumni, as well as the Center’s network of practitioners through scholarly research, education, and outreach activities.
