An international applicant is anyone who is not a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident at the time of application to the University of Virginia. International applicants are encouraged to apply by the March 1 deadline to allow ample time to submit their paperwork to UVA's International Studies Office. If you have questions about any of the following information, please feel free to contact McIntire’s Graduate Admissions Office.
Please be aware that the M.S. in the Management of IT Program is a non-residential program. All international applicants are expected to be fully employed throughout the duration of the program, as they will not be enrolled in enough credits per semester to qualify for a student visa.
We strongly recommend that international applicants apply before the March 1 deadline.
The McIntire School of Commerce requires a professional credential evaluation, with calculated GPA, for all transcripts/mark sheets from non-U.S. colleges or universities. Please have your official transcripts/mark sheets sent directly to a credential evaluating service listed on www.naces.org for review. Photocopies and facsimiles of transcripts are not acceptable. A notarized copy of your transcripts does not serve as an official academic record.
An official copy of the evaluation report must be sent from the third-party service to the Office of Graduate Marketing & Admissions, McIntire School of Commerce, University of Virginia, P.O. Box 400173, Charlottesville, VA 22904-4173.
