What stood out to you in selecting to attend the M.S. in Commerce Program?
After majoring in Economics and a brief exposure to the fields of marketing and management through college classes and a variety of internships, I wanted to gain a more in-depth and holistic foundation of all aspects of business, further develop my teamwork and problem-solving skills, enhance my business knowledge within a global framework, and identify a specialized area of study. In addition, while I have gained some limited experience working with small technology startups, digital and sports marketing firms, and a major financial services company via summer internships, I thought the M.S. in Commerce Program would provide me with increased exposure to a variety of industries and a more thorough understanding and specialized skill set in a specific area, such as marketing and management. I also was attracted to the numerous career resources and opportunities, as well as being surrounded by a diverse community of ambitious and like-minded students who would help support me on this sometimes nerve-wracking career journey.
What are you looking forward to most in the Program?
I am looking forward to exploring all of the career resources and programs, as well as diving into a variety of management and marketing courses, to really explore what career path within business interests me. I also am excited to go on the Global Immersion Experience and have the chance to learn about international businesses in depth.
